Cricket

Cricket is a fun and challenging team game, growing in popularity all around the world; even China is now taking part in international competitions at junior level!

It is based on a number of basic coordination skills used in many sports, such as throwing, catching and striking a ball. Fair play and teamwork is also a particularly strong feature of the game.

Our cricket program is designed to teach these basic skills, while gradually introducing the rules, strategies and techniques of the game.

5-7 years
The initial focus is developing basic motor skills.Fun games and drills are used to teach catching, throwing, bowling, striking and spatial awareness, and modified games are used to introduce teamwork and the basic concepts of cricket. The ball skills taught in this level provide an excellent platform for use in a wide range of sports. Kanga type equipment is used.

8-12 years
Children continue to develop the basic skills of throwing, catching and stopping a ball, with cricketskills and techniques being introduced
for batting and bowling. Plenty of match practice is provided, with modified games played to gradually introduce match rules. Kanga type
equipment is used.

We provide a mixture of training sessions and matches using junior equipment. Although players may begin to specialize, they are still encouraged to experience all aspects of the game.
